Halloween
We were so excited for Halloween this year because Lydia was going to be here for the weekend. We've been planning on having her out here for Halloween since June. One of Lydia's birthday presents this year was a ticket to see the musical "Wicked". She has been wanting to see this show for ages. My parents decided to come out as well for the show and Halloween.
Our tickets were for the 2:00 matinee on Halloween. Lydia LOVED the show! She tried to act nonchalant about it when we asked her what she thought, but it was very apparent how much she was enjoying it by watching her enthusiastic applause and giant smile after every song.
WICKED
After the show we rushed home so she could get dressed to go trick-or-treating with her friends Lacy and Jenna. The three girls have been planning their costumes since June. When we told them that Kaitlyn was going to be a biker chick, they jumped on the band wagon and decided to dress up as a gang of biker chicks. So we all decided to go as bikers this year (far stretch for me, I know.)

The Family the Rides Together, Stays Together
Erin and I walked around with the girls as they trick-or-treated. After a short while, Erin headed back home with Kaitlyn (it was getting cold, we had over 18 inches of snow two days before.)
All said and done it was a great weekend.
Swimming
Kaitlyn has been taking swim lessons for the last 6 weeks. I, of course, got to help so unfortunately you have to see me in the pictures too but please look past that. She did ok. She did not like getting her face wet but other then that she didn't mind being in the water. Take a look.

Train Ride in the Mountains
Every year at the beginning of Fall we go up to Georgetown, a small mining town up in the mountains, to take a train ride and view the trees and the color change. This year, Kaitlyn really seemed to enjoy herself.
The train ride itself isn't very long but it's fun. It starts in Georgetown and continues up to the small town of Silver Plume and then back again. A round trip ride only take about 90 minutes. Here are a few photos from this year's adventure.

Labor Day at the Park
The weather over Labor Day weekend was wonderful weather so we took the chance to take Kaitlyn to the park. We arranged to meet our friend Kaysie and her daughter, Hayden. Hayden and Kaitlyn are only two months apart in age and their interactions are fun to watch.
